Title: Happy Birthday Snowspirit.blogspot.com!!

Snowspirit has been wandering for seven years. Happy Birthday to You bloggie! I can still vividly remember how this blog was set up seven years ago.

A lil history lesson: It was during the 2nd year in NYP where we have internal attachment call TEP (Teaching Enterprise Proj) or some shyte like that. On 22 May 2005 , I was still having attachment at BPOS together with my buddy Dario (Sully the monster). Blogspot was a hotspot during that period and Narimah, the blog guru, taught most of us how to set up a blog. Each of us are required to provide a domain name and it took me awhile to come up with one. Why "Snowspirit"? ehh... Perhaps I was feeling cold and lonely that time, like a wandering spirit in the snow. Tadah!... Snowspirit I choose you...

One should never forget it's roots uh, just like how I can remember the guru who taught me how to create this blog. There's a chinese saying for that call 饮水思源 (yin shui si yuan). A direct translation means that one must think of its source when drinking water --bear in mind where one's happiness comes from.

Okay! I know I haven't been blogging since June 11, 2010 and that was after my 1st UOL exam in May. I was pretty happy with my year one results as it justify the hardwork I've put in. A big thank you to the wonderful study clique (though I know you would'nt be reading this, but I still want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart).

As the holidays came to an end, mugging began to unleash pain on my slacking brain. It's the same routine as year 1 but the only differencee was that the modules' difficulty level increased by two folds! (especially Investment which I didn't clear). I've no regrets as I've gave it my best shot.
Of course, I will not stop here. I will save up and take CFA to understand what I fail to understand then.

Time flies as if I've pressed the fast forward button in the movie player. I'll be throwing the hat in a few weeks time. Yes! I've successfully survived the degree education in two years. Mummy and Daddy must be delighted to see me in the robe. They must have a very durable heart to groom a kid who's ranked second (from the back) in kindergarten, always fail english and maths in primary and secondary school, defiant and mischievous boy boy. Thank you very much for being such a wonderful mummy and daddy. I'm very fortunate to be your son. Love you both deep deep =)

After the final exam in May 2011, I went for a two weeks grad trip to taiwan. I was very lucky to get a job in ANZ Bank in 20 June 2011 a couple of weeks after the trip. I was hired as an assassin to kill those baddies who cause the crisis... Noooo... as a contract bank officer for six months lar. I was suprised when the manager told me that I will be working with a team of poly grad girls. I was like wooah... don't need alarm clock already. I'll be damn motivated to go work. But majority of them have moved on to studies or to other companies as they're hired as contract as well. I really appreciate your guidance and it was a pleasure working with all of you. All the best in your future endeavours!

God has been taking good care of me. Just as I was about be out of job (end of contract), I was given an opportunity to be converted to a permanent staff. I'm very fortunate to be able to get a permanent position in such a bad economy and I really treasure this opportunity. The staff are more like friends than colleagues. Despite the long working hours, we have fun and laughter while working and this is the best team I've worked with so far (comparing with the temp jobs I've had). It's like going out with a group of friends to do a group project every day. We even have a wadsapp group which is especially noisy in the morning (=.=).

I've also completed two cycle of reservist in between this span of time when I was wondering elsewhere but here. First cycle was good, reap the rewards of other people's hardwork. As the team achieved an outstanding result (dunno for wad), the high key reservist was reduced from two weeks to one week (this kinda lobang of cos muz go rite?) I was still fit then (IPPT Silver: $200). BUT... during the second In-Camp-Training (ICT), I failed badly (always is 2.4km run problem). I ran an all time slow record of 18 minutes! Even I cannot believe myself. Though I was recovering from a very bad flu... 18 minutes is still too much. So I gave myself the benefit of a doubt, I was recovering so... I registered again for a retake a month later which was last week Saturday (170312). FAIL AGAIN!! My brother thought it was a joke (he's not the only one). Sigh...
Seriously no more excuse (slap the face). Not fit means not fit. No more excuses. Hence, I took half day today just in case I fail again, I can retake on the coming Saturday. Luckily I passed this time round with a timing of 11.50 (10sec to my $200, 1 sec $10 sibeh expensive). It's been awhile since I settle with a pass. For the sake of my Japan and Hong Kong trip, I shan't take the risk of retaking for a silver since I've got tax rebate from getting marksman as well (total: $300/- chik cheng).

I'm going Hong Kong with the manager and two seniors I'm currently working with. The initial plan was to get the whole group to go for a short trip on "Good Friday" long weekend (060412 to 080412). However, some have their commitments (marriage preparation and the other has overseas trip with her other group). After the trip will be graduation (120412) followed by Genting with Joey and Lily Family (130412 to 150412). That's not the end... and the trip continues to Japan (190312 to 270312) for training @ Hombu Dojo (I'm so looking forward to this one).

Speaking of marriage, there are currently four friends who have met their soulmate and have invited me to witness the special occasion. Congratulations to you all, have a blissful marriage and live happily ever after! Hmmm... so when will be my turn uh? Maybe would'nt happen at all. I shall leave it to fate =)

Alrity! signing off! Sweetdreams everyone =)
