Stayed overnite @ granny's house before going for the swimming test yesterday. Thanks to the message chair and the heavy warm up before the test, i avoided the cramps which i had for the past 2 swimmin lesson. It was a horrible feeling. Especially when u can only tread water when ur leg cramp cos cant swim @ all.
About 12.30 the participants consisting of Joey, Jolynn, Gerald, Ziying and myself went to the Bedok Swimming Complex which was juz a minute walk from granny's house. Swam 4 laps for warm up.
Den the whole test started off. 2 laps (100m) with pyjamas within 3 min. My timin was 2min 31sec. So happy! den the terror came la. Work so hard @ the beginning will only kill u @ e end. Tread water with 1 hand up for a minute, the next 4 min can tread water using both hands. After the 5 min, we have to take off our pyjamas while treading water and throw the top down to the bottom of the 1.8 plusm pool. Afterwhich we have to make a float using the long pyjamas pants. We have to swim back to the examiner where he Destroy our float and threw them somewhere else. I tink he threw mine the furthest, Nt fair 1. After float session, we have to dive down to collect our top. Den those ppl anyhow take. I can only take those remaining 1's which was quite a distance away. Arghh.. nearly outta breath.
That's nt the worst. We have to complete the test by completing 20 laps within 45min. 6 back, 6 side and 8 front stokes. No strength already still want 20 laps. Never try before lor. Anyway, i completed 11 min before time. Whew, rest every lap leh. Heng Heng ah! btw i skipped from beginner to gold. haha. Good life eh? no need to go through so many test. Nxt step is Life savin.
Every1 passed the test and we went had dinner with the coach to celebrate. Before meetin him, we went to eat Haagen Daz and tool Neoprints. Wanna see can ask from me la. Met him around 7pm and we treat him Chicken Bolognese. Den he treat us a small hawaiian pizza and arcade. Played daytona and air hockey. He drove us back too. Such a nice person. haha.
